SFSU for High School Students

CAPI, or the Collaborative Academic Preparation Initiative, is part of a CSU-wide project designed to increase the English and Math proficiency of high school students entering the California State University system.

CSU professors and graduate students work with local high school principals, teachers, and students to develop teaching strategies and materials that prepare students for college-level academics.

San Francisco State University has a highly developed and robust CAPI program that has helped both teachers and students meet their academic goals. In addition to offering this excellent program, SFSU also offers high school students free tutoring in English and Math, making SFSU a great choice for students who want to enjoy college and feel confident about their academic success.

For more information, please contact Kathy Munderloh, SFSU CAPI Director, at 415/405-0576 or kkpm@sfsu.edu.
