Writing: Developing Surveys
|
I. Using the Survey:
- Form a hypothesis about ____________ and write it down here: _____________________________________________________
- Choose your subjects. Be sure that your sample represents the population you are studying.
- Develop 510 questions that will elicit information to confirm (prove) or negate (disprove) your hypothesis.
- Tabulate your findings and draw conclusions based on your findings.
II. Relfections:
- Look at each of the questions on your survey. How are they phrased? Does the phrasing encourage a biased response? Why or why not?
- Based on your answer to the above, what can you say about the validity of your survey results?
